I average at least three to four presentations by General George Washington a month – this is a very small sample of visits over past few years:

At annual Flag Day, June 14th, 2016 at Mt. Genevese – always a pleasure to be part of celebration put on by DAR. Have gone for 8 years – great to be part of SAR.

 At the Old Colorado City Historical Society (OCCHS)

BELOW: Dave Wallace (as George Washington) shows Alexis Allen an 18th- century dance during his presentation/reenactment at the History Center. Dancing was a pleasure for the nation’s first president. The uniform is in keeping with what Washington wore as the Continental Army’s general in the Revolutionary War. According to Wallace, a Colorado Springs resident who taught in local schools for 40 years, Washington had designed it himself in a European style, but with colors representative of the new republic and the militia of Virginia, his home state. The center has also scheduled historically geared events in March, April and May
